Credit Union Network for Financial Literacy (CUNFL) is a wholly owned Credit Union Service Organization (CUSO) of Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union. CUNFL focuses on helping credit unions provide financial education solutions while promoting the value of credit union membership.
The staff began developing The Berenstain Bears Financial Literacy program when CUNFL partnered with Berenstain Enterprises, Inc. in 2012. In 2015, CUNFL launched The Berenstain Bears Financial Literacy Program and The Berenstain Bears Visit the Credit Union by Mike Berenstain nationally, making it available to other credit unions. As the unique program’s popularity increases, so too does its content. CUNFL continually monitors education and marketing trends to ensure relevancy, integrity, and compliance.
“Peach State’s Berenstain Bears Cub Accounts provide us with a great tool to connect with today’s youth. By opening a Cub Account, they get a head start on learning about the smart way to Save, Share, Spend and Earn. We hope to establish life-long relationships with our members and the Cub Account is the perfect place to start.”
-Kristen A. Patton, CUDE SVP, Marketing, Peach State Federal Credit Union
“The Berenstain Bear Program has been a great addition to our credit union. It was an easy program to start and the response has been great! Our younger member’s love the program and love seeing the characters when they visit during our Youth week events."
